Olde Glory Variety Show
During Seward County Gives Week
April 27, 6:30 pm

Olde Glory has been hit hard in recent months with several large expenses including a $65,000 loan for roof and siding repairs due to a poor insurance payout, a significant increase in our insurance, and unexpected plumbing repairs.   We have a goal of raising $85,000 over the next year to pay off our bank loan and continue offering great entertainment, educational children's opportunities, and a gathering space for community events.

Seward County Gives is one week of giving to projects in Seward county. Matching funds are distributed based on the number of "points" an organization earns. Olde Glory will receive one point for each gift of $10 or more from a household given during the week of April 26 - May 1.
The more unique gifts Olde Glory can generate, the more match dollars it can earn!
We're planning a Variety Show fundraiser with the theme . . .

“When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!”

We are grateful to everyone who has donated, come to our performances, volunteered, or
helped Olde Glory become a thriving theatre! The SCG event can make a huge impact,
with a donation of as little as $10. Click on the link below to the Seward County Gives site
to make a donation during “Gives” week from April 26 - May 1.

Thanks for the Lemon-Aid! See you at the Variety Show!

Olde Glory Theatre Presents
“Arsenic and Old Lace”
June 18-22

Set in the early 1940s, Arsenic and Old Lace tells the story of newspaper drama critic Mortimer Brewster, a normal, run‐of‐the‐mill guy who is anxious to marry his fiancée, the girl‐next‐door and a minister’s daughter, Elaine. He visits his two sweet aunts, famed for their hospitality and adored by their neighbors and guests.   While there, Mortimer discovers a corpse in his aunts home only to learn that his aunts not only know about the body – they were the murderers!   He always knew that his family had a bit of a mad gene -- his brother believes himself to be Teddy Roosevelt.   His other brother, Jonathan, a true maniacal criminal, returns accompanied by Dr. Einstein, a plastic surgeon of doubtful character.  It’s “Home Sweet Homicide” as Mortimer tries to thwart the police (a kindly but goofy bunch), conceal a corpse, curtail anymore killing, and convince Elaine that a wedding with a man who is drowning in such a murky gene pool would lead to nothing but woe.

Missoula Children’s Theater Summer Workshop
July 28 - August 1

Welcome to Ancient Greece, where the focus is on the big tournament! The Olympic Games are starting soon, and the Cyclopes and Titans are both expecting to win big in the games. But the tournament can’t start without Hercules. Will the legendary strongman of the ancient world spark the flame and start the festivities on time, or will his legendary tardiness get in the way of the games? Join us for a tale the scholars will talk about for ages as mythical creatures and Olympians alike share in a friendly competition. Along the way, we may just learn that true strength lies not in our muscles but in our character.

Registration, auditions, and the first two days of the workshop will be held at Olde Glory. Since Olde Glory's backstage is not large enough to accommodate all of the performers, rehearsals will be held at the Civic Center the last three days with two performances on Friday evening in the Auditorium. The workshop is open to children going into grades 1-12 in the fall of 2025.
